The Account Executive - Outside Sales will report to the Director of National Accounts and work to improve the organization’s market position and achieve financial growth in new markets.  This role will be the external face of the organization, with key goals to build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals, and maintain an extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and contact various clients via telephone and identify where in-person visits can create new revenue streams for the business. Strategic clients will include pharmaceutical companies, CROs, SMOs, and other entities.  This will include selling Barton’s Tele-Health services among other things.

  • Identify, contact, and meet with key decision makers within client organizations to develop a strategy, establish a relationship, and identify business opportunities.

  • Plan presentations and work with the marketing and management teams to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs

  • Coordinate with applicable managers to communicate a clear message with clients in advance of any potential meetings with clients

  • Identify and develop selling propositions and differentiators to present during client visits using knowledge of the market and competitors

  • Maintain client relationships and achieve budgeted sales and production objectives.

  • Track, record and present activity on accounts where client visits occurred and help close deals at these accounts

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years outside sales experience

  • Energetic and strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong sense of self-motivation

  • Advanced organization and prioritization skills

  • Strong sense of urgency and problem solving skills

  • Superior customer service skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Apps

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above
