Barton Associates is looking for a bright and driven individual to fill an entry level role within our Finance department. This role is responsible for overseeing the internal billing process


  • Process time sheets and expenses based on contracts to guarantee accurate and timely billing of client invoices and payment of providers
  • Ensure all vendors provide appropriate documentation of status such as W-9’s prior to any payments being transmitted
  • Identify billable vs. non-billable expenses based on project specific policy
  • Research, analyze, and resolve inquiries pertaining to billing
  • Work with cross functional teams to resolve billing related issues and identify process improvements to prevent issues from reoccurring
  • Escalate any billing issues in a timely fashion to senior management
  • Work with senior management to create and prepare financial reports
  • Perform regular ad-hoc internal reporting as necessary.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting (preferred)
  • 0-2 years of experience in pertinent field
  • Microsoft Excel & Office proficiency
  • Working knowledge of general ledger and financial reporting systems
