    The Technical Operations Administrator role is part documentation czar, part project manager, and part bean counter. Specific duties will include creating documents and reports, asset procurement/intake, accounting, and managing short and long term projects.


    • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
    • Own the review process: send drafts, respond to review comments, complete the documentation with feedback while remaining attentive to release schedules and deadlines.
    • Write easy-to-understand documentation at various levels of technical depth.
    • Create tutorials to help end-users accomplish a variety of tasks using Barton’s internal systems. 
    • Create and maintain the information architecture.
    • Manage the procurement, intake, and inventory process
    • Assist with the budgeting and project forecasting for the department
    • Lead projects from idea to execution and implementation


    • One to three years experience managing and tracking the licenses and maintenance support for hardware and software and or one to three years of experience in technical writing of software documentation OR software technical support 
    • Strong communication and organization skills.
    • High degree of honesty and accountability
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts (working within existing documentation and team members) and make them easily understandable.
    • Energetic and strong interpersonal skills

    • Ability to deliver high quality documentation with strong attention to detail 
    • Strong working knowledge of Google for Work
    • Excellent verbal and written English skills.  Ability to write in English, present thoughts effectively and with correct English grammar. Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical processes
    • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • Usual office working conditions.
    • Required to sit for long periods of time.
    • Some light physical effort required (under 30lbs)
