    This Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for proactively handling incoming telephone, email, and self-service generated incident requests from users experiencing technical difficulties with hardware, software and other system related problems.


    • Provide frontline support to all Barton Employees
    • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user hardware, software and peripherals
    • Help manage the helpdesk ticketing system
    • Assess and diagnose issues quickly so that they are escalated or resolved promptly
    • Maintain inventory of company hardware and software
    • Monitor deployment of PC’s, printers and other company hardware
    • Communicate issues and trends with team members so that they are resolved in a timely manner
    • Other special projects as needed


    • 0-2 years' experience in a technical support position. Phone, email and ticketing; both local and remote customer base
    • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Network, Computer Administration or related field
    • Experience with Google Apps administraton
    • Certifications in CompTIA and/or Microsoft product suite desired
    • General knowledge of Microsoft Office products
    • Valid driver's license - position requires 20% travel in the Northeast region
    • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
    • Analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to ‘think outside the box’
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Sense of urgency and ability to quickly assess, diagnose and resolve reported problems
    • Proven customer service skills
    • Must be able to work independently
