We are seeking an Employee Relations Specialist. The Employee Relations Specialist’s role requires a working knowledge of employment law, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability, willingness, and confidence to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. The Employee Relations Specialist will be part of the Human Resources Department but will report to the company’s Associate General Counsel.


  • Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of workplace policies and procedures 
  • Consult with and provide guidance to senior business leaders and managers on complex employment issues to ensure consistent application of company policy and compliance with applicable law; 
  • Respond to and address employee grievances
  • Discretely and thoroughly conduct internal investigations, including, among other things, documenting and communicating findings and recommendations for next steps to company leadership, implementing disciplinary or other responsive actions, and following up, as appropriate
  • Manage the company’s response to employee requests for leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, and similar requests
  • Work on other tasks and matters as may be assigned from time to time


  • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 1-3 years’ experience in employee relations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact and develop relationships with the company’s staff and management
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to think critically and analyze and evaluate complex issues in order to develop real-world, practical solutions
  • Willingness and ability to work independently (this is critical for this role, as although the Employee Relations Specialist will be supported by the company’s Human Resources and Legal Departments, the Employee Relations Specialist will be independently responsible for the company’s employee relations functions)
  • Uncompromising integrity, honesty, professionalism, and ethical decision making
