The Barton Companies (Barton Associates, Barton Healthcare Staffing, and Wellhart) seeks a college student to work with the marketing team to conceptualize and create content for multiple outputs including digital platforms and offline media. The intern will work on projects creating videos and original graphics to amplify the brands and enhance audience engagement.


The intern will help with the Barton Companies’ web and social media needs, including producing and creating content for various digital verticals, collaborating on marketing and social media campaigns, and assisting with communications like e-newsletters, blogs, and press releases. Skills gained include new knowledge on branding, social media production and strategy, video editing, and digital design.


  • Conceptualize, produce, and assist with the creation of both long- and short-style videos to be used on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other social channels) and on any of the 3 websites
  • Film videos aimed at increasing application rate for internal hiring process
  • Film interviews with medical providers and current employees
  • Re-cut and optimize new and old video footage and image files for use on digital platforms. Including pulling screengrabs, identifying clips, editing and encoding video
  • Assist in developing and implementing social media campaigns in support of the Barton Companies’ events and initiatives
  • Manage digital archive and maintain an organized file-management system of images and video clips
  • Assist in tagging previous videos and images for SEO
  • Assist in writing scripts/questions for videos filmed
  • Maintain overall branding and program objectives


  • Enrolled in an accredited 2-year or 4-year educational program; preferably studying: film/tv production, graphic design, digital media, or communications
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office and GSuite
  • Experience working with various social media platforms and creating scripts for video content
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and collaboration and communication skills
  • Highly organized time management skills, detail-oriented, attentive to details and technologically savvy.
  • Aptitude for learning new tools quickly
  • Intermediate graphic design skills for collateral special projects as needed
  • Strong leadership skills with the comfortability to take change of projects

Please Note: This is a paid internship and Barton Associates will work with students needing internships for college credits. The ideal intern will be able to start late January/early February and can end on a mutually decided date. Intern will work 15-20 hours/week. Hours can be scheduled between 9am and 5pm. All hours will be expected to be completed in person at our Peabody, MA office.
