Overview

We’re seeking a talent acquisition specialist to help us source, identify, screen, and hire candidates for various roles within the company. Our Talent Acquisition Specialists also play a pivotal role in promoting the company’s brand throughout student and community outreach recruitment initiatives and events. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, two or three years of experience in talent acquisition, proficiency with applicant tracking systems, and an ability to devise sourcing strategies for potential applicants. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with others across various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the organization’s employer brand to attract top talent.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
  • Devise and implement sourcing strategies, such as an employer branding initiative, to build pipelines for potential applicants.
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks
  • Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and assess candidates to determine their suitability for specific roles.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Create interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position.
  • Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders.
  • Navigate pay conversations, present job offers, and facilitate the offer acceptance process.
  • Design and implement end-to-end hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates while achieving assigned metrics and KPIs to achieve team goals.
  • Manage and execute on The Barton Companies campus and community recruiting initiatives by attending job fairs, recruitment events, and hosting informational sessions.
  • Collaborate with HR staffers and other departments to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Proficiency with social media sites such as LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Comfortable with attending career fairs and other networking events
